Andrew leads the Human Resources function for Asia Pacific, excluding China (APEC). As the Chief Human Resources Officer, Andrew plays an integral role in defining and shaping HR strategies in the region and advancing the company’s global and regional talent objectives.
Andrew joined Marriott in 1991. His early experience was in hotel operational roles before moving into the Human Resources discipline. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for APEC, where he was responsible for driving and executing HR strategy and priorities and developing an organisational culture that promoted associate engagement, well-being and job satisfaction.
He previously held the positions of Vice President - Career Development & Human Capital Planning, Senior Director of Talent Development & Learning and Regional Director of Training.
While serving as VP for APEC, Andrew played a critical role in the change management and HR deployment strategies for the Starwood acquisition. Additionally, his leadership was instrumental as the APEC region navigated the challenging dynamics of the pandemic.
Andrew earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Hospitality) from Oxford Brookes University in the UK and recently completed an MBA degree specialising in Change Management from the University of New South Wales, Australian Graduate School of Management.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Andrew has been based in Singapore since 2016.
