Group Corporate Chef - The Oberoi Group

Satbir Singh Bakshi is the Group Corporate Chef for the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts. He has 26 years of rich culinary experience in leading 5-star hotel chains which has made him a quality driven and professional chef with a management style which is hands on, result oriented, innovative, and cost effective and people driven with a strong focus on training.

Dedication, passion and commitment saw him put in his best and grow in his career with this industry, as his specialities lies in pre-openings, budgeting/cost control for culinary department, training and development, ISO 22000- International Organisation for Standardisation and menu changes and implementation.

As a graduate from Delhi University with a 3-year diploma in Hotel Management from IHMCN, Satbir began his career with Le Meridien, New Delhi in 1997, followed by joining as a pre-opening team member of The Grand Hyatt, New Delhi. He then joined The Oberoi Mumbai as a Sous Chef and rose to become the Executive Chef of The Oberoi Mumbai in 2014. Chef Satbir was promoted to the position of Corporate Chef de cuisine in August 2021.
