Tom Wucherer, a founding partner and chief operating officer of Las Vegasbased YWS Design and Architecture, has been designing leisure environments for more than 25 years.
Tom spearheaded the design for leisure industry giants like Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Mirage Hotel and Casino and Caesars Palace Forum Shops. Since founding YWS, he has taken his experience and his company global, designing integrated resorts across the globe from Australia and Asia to the United States.
As the leader of a global leisure design firm specialising in hospitality, gaming, retail, dining and entertainment, Tom has focused his efforts on understanding the dining and retail industries. Tom’s tireless dedication to anticipating trends in these industries helps to inform our designs and ensure that our dining and retail spaces are significant, unique market offerings. Tom graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Architecture degree, specializing in computer technology, from California Polytechnic State University. Additionally, he is a former key member of the Tririga software team, holds several patents, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), holds a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), is a member of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI), the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the Aldo Leopold Foundation and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with specialty in Building Design and Construction. Tom was the recipient of the USGBC’s 2010 Leadership Award in the category of “LEED Projects as an Individual”.
Tom is a licensed architect in Nevada, California, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, Arizona, Rhode Island, Ohio, Kansas, and Mississippi.
